About Boman Kemp Basement Window Systems…
For more than 40 years These Boman Kemp Basement Window Systems have been an industry standard, and have created more usable square footage in new home construction than almost any other practice.
These Windows Systems enhance natural sunlight, improve ventilation and provide easy egress in case of emergency. However, perhaps the greatest advantage to a Boman Kemp Basement Window System is the sheer ease of installation.
Give us just three minutes and you’ll be convinced that our Basement Window System will dramatically increase liveable space in new home construction, while maintaining below grade construction costs.
Buck parts come from the factory KD, or Knocked Down. These precisely manufactured parts are quickly and easily assembled.
Using the braces provided, the foundation contractor is able to hang the Window Easy Buck™ in either aluminum or steel ply forms. These braces are required in every pore, and are important in maintaining the dimensions and integrity of the Basement Window. The forms are removed and the Boman Kemp Window Easy Buck™ is left in the wall ready for Easy Well™ installation.
The Window Easy Well™ are then hung without the need for any drilling or anchoring equipment.
Our Window System provides bolts in which to hang the Window Easy Buck™ at various grade heights. The installation of washers is also required to protect against heavy soil and clay intrusion, along with cold climate frost heaves.
The energy rated Vinyl Window insert is easily installed into the Window Easy Buck™. The provided trim strips create an interlocking seal that is both water and air tight.
The installation of the Escape Ladder and Safety Grate provide for emergency egress and protection.
The clear Polycarbonate Cover allows sunlight to enter the Easy Well™, while providing protection from unwanted debris.
Once installed the Boman Kemp Basement Window is ready to finish in the same manner as an upstairs window. Framing, insulation and drywall come together to create an open and light upstairs feeling, in the downstairs living area.
